0004714: Multiselect of items in the Outline pane using Shift+Click does not work

Description

When I want to export or externalize internal metadata, or internalize linked external metadata, I should use Shift+Click on an item and Shift+Click on another (in Outline pane). All items between these two items should be selected and all should be either exported/externalized, or internalized.
However, it works only for these two items, those between them are not selected and these two are the only ones that are exported/externalized x internalized.
The same is valid for connections, etc.
